JOURNAL HINT - use your journal to record times where you can give yourself a ‘Merit’ i.e when you demonstrated one or more of these positive traits in your day.
MOVEFIT - If you move well the risk of injury is low, once you have mastered basic movement and can repeat it consistently over time we will increase the intensity. This will result in you becoming fitter and stronger while remaining injury free. ENJOY IT - Before you worry about all the many aspects of improving health and fitness we first want you to be able to enjoy it! Coming to train should not feel like a drag, in fact we want you to look forward to it! Make this the best hour of your day! REMAIN HUMBLE - Ask for help when you need it, remember life is a journey and we are always learning. We record our training results, not because of ego, but because we want to become better. Leave the ego at the door, training is not a competitive event, competitions are. INTEGRITY - We will always be honest, to ourselves and others. TAKE OWNERSHIP - We focus on what is within our control. Why focus on that which is not in our control? It only gives us anxiety or makes us depressed. If it is our health and fitness, then who has ultimate control over your training, your nutrition, your sleep, your stress levels? Are you blaming external influences, can you control them? If the answer is no then look into yourself and find something your have control over, rather than wasting energy on blaming others, things or the situation you are in. SHOW UP - 80% of success is simply showing up for training for yourself for your coach. HOW CAN YOU APPLY MERITS WHEN THINKING ABOUT ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS? RECORD THEM IN YOUR JOURNAL AND CELEBRATE THOSE LITTLE WINS.
